Room at the Cross for You - our new song for April 2024
This beautiful hymn was written by a man converted at the age of 12, Ira Stanphill, who then began preaching at 22 years old. He said this, “The basic reason I have written songs is that I love God and Christ has loved me. Most of my songs are the outgrowth of real experiences with Jesus. He goes on to say they appeal because “I have had trials, heartaches, and sorrow in my life.”
Haven't we all?
THE PARABLE OF THE LOST SHEEP
Luke 15: 1-7
Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and Scribes complained, saying, "This Man receives sinners and eats with them." So He spoke this parable to them saying:
"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just person who need no repentance."
No one can
hear the message of God’s great love especially as He displayed it on Calvary and remain unmoved. Share it and share it widely and know there’s always room
for One more sinner to come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
